Hayden Peak is having a Reading Incentive Program Oct-Nov. "Pigging Out On Books" is always a big hit with the faculty & students. Using the theme "Where In the World Is Penelope Pig" we search the globe for our missing pig by giving clues each week. Students who guess correctly receive a prize. Everyone is keeping track of their reading minutes, including faculty using a pig thermometer. The goal is 125,000 min for each grade, but the big goal is a million minutes for the school. If that goal is reached then the principal will kiss a pig. Our media center is filled with many swine of all sorts. Every year the school waits for the beginning of Pig Month.
